Dwarfism is a condition of short stature. The average adult height of a dwarf is 4'10". The two categories of dwarfism are disproportionate and proportionate. Disproportionate is when they have an average sized torso and shorter arms and legs or a shortened torso with longer limbs. Proportionate have body parts that are in proportion but they are all shortened. Achondroplasia is a common type of dwarfism that affects about 1 in every 30,000 babies. Some symptoms of Achondroplasia are a large head, prominent forehead, protruding jaw, crowded and misaligned teeth (without braces), and bowed legs.
